Smartphones are everywhere because they provide a variety of services that people find valuable at an affordable cost. This list comprises of the Android devices that are priced under RS 5000, but exhibit great features and specs to go with their prices.

1.    Intex Aqua SX –

Priced at RS 4,490, the Intex Aqua SX has 3.5-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 320 and is powered by a 1Ghz processor. The hardware on this phone makes it a high consideration for purchase on a budget.

3.    Lava Iris 349

For RS 3,999 this Android smartphone offers a 1GHz processer and 256MB of RAM. Cameras on both sides of the device enable video calling e.g. Skype. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are also supported.

4.    Huawei Ascend Y210D

Going at RS 4,899, this smartphone  is loaded with a 1GHz processor, 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage. These considerable specs can be boosted with a 32GB microSD card for even more storage.

Just under RS 5,000 (4,999) the most conspicuous feature—apart from some good hardware (1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and 2 megapixel camera)—is the 4.3 inch screen.

6.    Micromax A27 Ninja

Micromax is well represented on this list, and for good reason with the likes of the A27 Ninja being produced by the manufacturer.  For only RS 3,399, this phone comes with a 1GHz processor, 256MB of RAM, and a 3.5-inch display. Great hardware and great price.

7.    Karbonn A3

The Karbonn A3 is priced at RS 3,660 and comes with a 3.5-inch screen, 1GHz processor, and 256 MB of RAM. Added to that is a 3 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi capabilities, and Bluetooth. As one of the more affordable phones on this list and with the specs previously mentioned, this phone is a strong contender for top choice.

8.    Karbonn A4

Back-to-back Karbonn phones on this list means that the manufacturer is doing something right. An upgrade in phone does incur an upgrade in cost, but at RS 4,990 this phone is still under 5000. With a 1GHz processor, 3.2 megapixel camera  and 512MB of internal storage, whether this phone is better than its predecessor is up to you.

9.    Intex Aqua 4.0

For RS 4,999 Intex’s second phone on this list doesn’t really bring the processing power (800Mhz) but does offer a 3 megapixel camera with 2-point touch. With the ability for more memory via a micro SD card and long battery life, this phone may still grab your attention still.

10.    Spice Stellar Xtacy Mi-352

The last phone on this list has a crazy name, but retails for RS 4,634 so I think we can overlook that. Clocking in at 1Ghz, 256MB of RAM and 3G connectivity, I definitely saved the best for last.
